Badenoch and Strathspey lies between the rugged Cairngorms in
the south and the more gentle, rolling Monadhliath Mountains in
the North. It is the home of Scotland's second largest
river, the Spey, and is also renowned for its ancient pine
forests, ospreys, whisky and, more recently, as the backdrop for
the BBC series, Monarch of the Glen. Falling within the
Cairngorm National Park, its diversity of landscapes offers
walks to suit all tastes and abilities. |
